Rewalsar
Vishwajit Thakur, a youth from Rewalsar area of Mandi district, has brought glory not only to his family but also to the entire region by achieving the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army. There is a wave of happiness not only in the family but in the entire area on this achievement. Vishwajit Thakur’s father Jaswant Singh has also served in the Indian Army. His mother Sumitra Devi is working as a supervisor in Child Development Project Office, Rewalsar. There has always been a passion for serving the country in Vishwajeet’s family. His elder sister Nisha Thakur is posted as Major in MNS (Military Nursing Service) in the Indian Army.
Vishwajeet completed his primary education from the local school, Rewalsar. In the year 2019, he started his military career by joining the Indian Army. With his dedication and hard work, he secured 14th rank at All India level in SSB examination (Service Selection Board) in the year 2024. After this he was selected on the post of Lieutenant. Presently Vishwajeet Thakur is serving in the Indian Army in Ranchi. Due to his achievement, other youth of Rewalsar area are also taking inspiration to move forward for serving the country
