Shimla: The Meteorological Centre in Shimla has forecast rain and snowfall at isolated places over high mountain regions of Himachal Pradesh for the next four days due to the active western disturbance.
In the past 24 hours, most weather stations recorded minimum temperatures 2–3°C above normal and maximum temperatures 2–6°C above normal. Today, sunshine prevailed in the state capital and other parts.

The weather office has predicted light rain and snowfall on February 27–28 and March 2–3 over higher hills of Chamba, Kullu, Kangra, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti districts. For the rest of the week, most areas are likely to remain dry.
The recent activity of the western disturbance is expected to bring this change in the weather pattern. Meanwhile, no significant change in minimum and maximum temperatures is expected across many parts of the state over the next 3–4 days.
