A young woman in the Rohru police station area of Shimla district has accused a man of sexually exploiting her under the false promise of marriage and then cheating on her.
The victim works in a government department. Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections 69 and 351(2) of the Indian Penal Code and initiated an investigation.
The victim stated that the accused sexually exploited her by promising marriage and later refused to marry her.
According to the victim’s complaint, she became acquainted with Sunny Thakur, a resident of Rohru, who lived in a rented room. In October 2024, Sunny Thakur took her to his rented room and had physical relations with her against her will.
The complainant further alleged that Sunny Thakur had physical relations with her at various locations under the false promise of marriage. During this period, she became pregnant, but he forced an abortion without her consent. According to the complainant, Sunny Thakur exploited her by falsely promising marriage.
Furthermore, Sunny Thakur’s family is threatening to kill her. According to the police, a case has been registered and action is being taken.
