Shimla, February 18, 2026: The Government of Himachal Pradesh has promoted 11 Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) officers to the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (Additional SP) with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the Department of Home (Section-D), the Governor approved the placements on the recommendations of the Screening Committee.
The officers promoted are:
Kuldeep Kumar (HPPS 2011), Dy.SP
Amit Thakur (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Pratap Singh (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Amit Sharma-II (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Manohar Lal (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Vikas Kumar Dhiman (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Hemant Kumar (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Kulwinder Singh (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Khazana Ram (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Ram Prasad Jaswal (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
Lal Man (HPPS 2012), Dy.SP
The placement of Amit Thakur is subject to the final outcome of any appeal that may be filed against his acquittal in FIR No. 91/2016.
Posting orders of the promoted officers will be issued separately. Until further orders, they will continue to serve at their current places of posting.
