The third Paragliding Flying Festival and Hospitality Expo 2025 will be held in Junga, Shimla, from October 25th to 28th. This event will feature 15 foreign and 70 Indian paragliders.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will inaugurate the Flying Festival. Renowned wrestler Great Khali will be the chief guest on October 26th. The Pre-Paragliding Accuracy World Cup and Pre-Asian League Championships will also be held during this event.
This year, world champions are also participating in the Paragliding Flying Festival. Exhibitions and sales of traditional products and cuisine from Himachal Pradesh, along with cultural programs, will also be highlights. Cash prizes will be awarded to those who finish first and second.
Arun Rawat, director of the Shimla Flying Festival, said, “The Paragliding Flying Festival has been held in Shimla for the past two years to promote adventure sports and attract tourists to Himachal Pradesh. This year, the Flying Festival is being held from October 25th, with paragliders from seven countries participating.”
He added that elaborate arrangements have been made for the safety of the paragliders. SDRF and medical teams will be deployed. Renowned judges have been invited to judge the paragliding competition. Junga is a great place for paragliding. It offers a 5-minute flight, and many people come here to paraglide. This will also boost tourism.
