Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi said that fairs and festivals are a reflection of our rich culture. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the gathering last night after inaugurating the first cultural evening of the state-level Sairotsav fair.
Congratulating the state level fair, Sanjay Awasthi said that through fairs, people get an opportunity to increase mutual interaction and understand the folk culture and traditions of the state.
He said that the state government is constantly striving to preserve and promote fairs to keep the younger generation connected to their ancient culture. He added that the Arki Fair Festival is very ancient. This fair has been celebrated for approximately 388 years and remains a symbol of the region’s faith even today.
The MLA stated that unprecedented development has taken place in every Gram Panchayat in the Arki Assembly constituency over the past years. He added that providing education, health, roads, drinking water, electricity, and other basic amenities to the last person in line is his priority.
In the first cultural evening, famous singers Gaurav Koondel, Hemant Sharma, Kaku Thakur and other local artists entertained the people by presenting.
