The School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences at Baddi University of Emerging Sciences & Technology (BUEST) has secured accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its undergraduate pharmacy programme, marking a significant milestone for pharmacy education in Himachal Pradesh.
The university said the School is the only pharmacy institute in Himachal Pradesh to have secured NBA accreditation, describing the achievement as a recognition of its focus on outcome-based education, academic excellence, research, innovation and continuous quality improvement.
The accreditation was celebrated at the Prof Harkishan Singh Seminar Hall in the presence of Shri Gaurrav Ram Jhunjhunwala, Honourable Secretary; Prof (Dr) T R Bhardwaj, Advisor to the Chancellor; Prof (Dr) J K Sharma, Vice-Chancellor; and Prof (Dr) Khushmeet Kumar, Registrar, besides deans, heads of departments, faculty members and staff.
The programme began with ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by addresses congratulating the School on the national accreditation. The speakers noted that NBA accreditation represents not only recognition of academic standards but also a responsibility to sustain quality and pursue continuous institutional improvement.
The university also acknowledged the collective contribution of its management, leadership, administration, faculty, staff and students in achieving the accreditation.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof (Dr) Ravinesh Mishra, Dean, School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences, who expressed gratitude to the university leadership, dignitaries and all stakeholders for their support.
