A tourist died in an accident during rope course and adventure activity at Sadhupul. The deceased has been identified as Gopal Sharma, resident of Mandi Govindgarh district Fatehgarh Punjab. SP Gaurav Singh has confirmed the case. He said that information was received from Kandaghat Hospital to Police Station Kandaghat that a person has been brought to the hospital due to a fall. On information, the police team reached the hospital.
During investigation, it was found that Gopal had come to Sadhupul for a walk with his wife. Here he climbed the rope for rope course and adventure activity in a river camp. He was wearing a safety belt. When he was crossing the 5th stage of the rope course, he lost balance and hung down with the help of the belt. On this, the employees of the camp site started trying to rescue him, but due to the hook of the safety belt worn by him breaking, he fell down on his back 10 to 12 feet down.
Immediately after the accident, the injured Gopal was taken to Kandaghat Hospital, where after first aid he was referred to Regional Hospital Solan. He died during treatment here. Investigation so far has revealed that Gopal had internal injuries due to the fall, which led to his death. After conducting the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family. The police is taking further action in the case.
