Shimla, April 9, 2026:
The Himachal Pradesh government on Wednesday issued a notification ordering the transfer and posting of two Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) officers with immediate effect in the public interest.
According to the order issued by the Department of Personnel (Appointment-IV), Ankush Sharma (HPAS 2018), who was serving as Regional Transport Officer (RTO) in Hamirpur, has been appointed as Additional Director at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda (Kangra district).
He replaces Dr. (Maj. Retd.) Avaninder Kumar (HPAS 2014), who has been directed to report to the Department of Personnel (Pool) at the HP Secretariat in Shimla for further posting.
In another move, Rajiv Thakur (HPAS 2020), currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur, has been given additional charge of Regional Transport Officer, Hamirpur.
The notification was issued under the orders of the Governor and signed by Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta.
The reshuffle is part of the state government’s ongoing administrative adjustments aimed at strengthening governance and improving departmental efficiency.
