Hamirpur, October 7
The Women and Child Development Department organized an awareness rally in Hamirpur on Monday under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme and International Girl Child Day, in which Anganwadi workers of the area participated.
District Program Officer of the department, Anil Kumar, flagged off this awareness rally. This rally started from the District Program Officer’s office and, after passing through various areas of the city, ended back in the office premises. During this, Anganwadi workers gave the message to people not to discriminate against daughters and to provide them with adequate opportunities to move forward in life by raising slogans of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.
