Healthcare Schemes, Banking Reforms and Solar Energy Projects Under Review During Committee Deliberations
Hamirpur/Jaipur, September 21, 2026:
Member of Parliament and former Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur participated in an important Public Accounts Committee (PAC) study tour in Jaipur today, featuring detailed discussions on major central welfare schemes, banking sector reforms and the performance, accountability and transparency of renewable energy projects.
The morning sessions focused on reviewing Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and the National Health Mission in discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Government of Rajasthan. This was followed by deliberations on banking sector reforms involving the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance, the Reserve Bank of India, and the Chairmen and Managing Directors of several public sector and regional banks.
The afternoon session focused on the Performance Audit Report on Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects, covered under C&AG Report No. 13 of 2025. Anurag Singh Thakur participated in informal discussions with committee members and officials from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Power and Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd. (RRECL), examining issues concerning the implementation, efficiency and transparency of solar energy projects.
The study tour formed an important part of the Public Accounts Committee’s parliamentary oversight process, aimed at reviewing the implementation of government schemes and infrastructure initiatives while strengthening accountability, operational efficiency and outcomes across the healthcare, banking and renewable energy sectors.
