Hamirpur, 10 October 2026:
BJP Hamirpur District President Rakesh Thakur informed that former Union Minister and Hamirpur Member of Parliament Anurag Singh Thakur will attend the “Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan 6.0” programme at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur, on Sunday, 11 October 2026. Thereafter, he will proceed to Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district to participate in the “Ek Se Shreshth” programme at Utsav Palace.
Rakesh Thakur said that Anurag Singh Thakur’s schedule for Sunday will be exceptionally hectic, reflecting his commitment to fulfilling his responsibilities despite demanding national and international engagements. Returning from Tanzania, he is scheduled to arrive at New Delhi International Airport at approximately 3:00 AM in the early hours of 11 October. Without leaving the airport, he will continue his onward journey from Delhi Airport’s domestic Terminal T1, boarding an IndiGo flight to Dharamshala at 7:20 AM.
Following his arrival in Himachal Pradesh, Anurag Singh Thakur will participate in the “Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan 6.0” programme at NIT Hamirpur. He is subsequently scheduled to proceed to Ghumarwin at 2:00 PM to attend the “Ek Se Shreshth” programme at Utsav Palace in Bilaspur district.
Highlighting the significance of his demanding itinerary, Rakesh Thakur said that travelling directly from an international engagement to a series of programmes in his home state demonstrates Anurag Singh Thakur’s dedication to public service and his commitment to maintaining close engagement with educational and social initiatives in the region.
He added that managing international travel alongside scheduled engagements in Hamirpur and Bilaspur reflects the MP’s determination to remain accessible and active in matters concerning his constituency, even amid a demanding professional schedule. His participation in these programmes also underlines the importance he attaches to education, youth empowerment and initiatives aimed at creating better opportunities for children.
Rakesh Thakur further said that initiatives such as “Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan 6.0” and “Ek Se Shreshth” contribute to strengthening educational awareness, promoting quality learning and supporting the aspirations of the younger generation. Anurag Singh Thakur’s scheduled participation in both programmes is a reflection of his continued commitment to these priorities.
