The Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW) Office of APG Shimla University organised Talent Hunt 2026 with the aim of providing newly admitted students a platform to showcase their talent, build confidence and contribute to their holistic development.
The programme offered new students an opportunity to step onto the stage and present their abilities through dance, singing, modelling and other creative performances. The initiative was designed to help students overcome stage hesitation, develop self-confidence and become actively involved in university life from the beginning of their academic journey.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from new students, who came forward with confidence and presented a range of performances. The programme also provided an opportunity for students to interact, work together and develop communication, teamwork and stage-presentation skills.
The student coordinators — Janvi Ranjan, Peeyush, Arya Rattan, Aditi, Sejal, Mehak and Shalini — played an important role in preparing and encouraging the participants. Their continuous support and coordination helped the new students prepare for and confidently present their performances.
The Media Team, comprising Arman, Pawan Singh and Sanchit, also played a crucial role in supporting the programme and documenting the performances, capturing the participation and enthusiasm of the students.
The DSW Office appreciated the efforts of the student coordinators, media team and participants for making the programme successful. The initiative reflected the university’s emphasis on providing students opportunities beyond academics and encouraging their confidence, creativity, communication skills and holistic development.
The Talent Hunt 2026 concluded with appreciation for the participating students, who took their first steps onto the university stage and demonstrated their talents with enthusiasm and confidence.
