Asian Development Bank Mission, under the leadership of Ms. Sunae Kim, Deputy Team Leader, Shyam Khadka, International Horticultural Expert, Ms. Julitta Ponniah and Tarun Aggarwal, Finance Specialist met Horticulture Minister, Jagat Singh Negi here today and apprised him about the progress of the HPSHIVA project, besides emphasizing the importance of clean plant material, nursery development, strengthening of post harvest and food processing sector under HPSHIVA project with the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Mission is on eight day visit of the State till 21st November. They toured Kangra, Hamirpur, Mandi and Bilaspur from 14 to 16 Nov 2023 to review the implementation of HPSHIVA project.
A meeting was also held under the Chairmanship of Secretary Horticulture, C. Paulrasu and discussions were held about the implementation of the HPSHIVA Main Project, to be implemented in 6000 hectare area being funding by Asian Development Bank amounting to Rs. 130 Million Dollar for five years.
Project Director, HPSHIVA and other senior officers from the horticulture department and PMU were present during the meeting amongst others.
