Women and Child Development Department Solan organized an awareness camp under Mission Shakti in Dangri Gram Panchayat of Solan today. The camp was presided over by Harminder Verma, Director of Jan Shikshan Sansthan.
He gave detailed information about various schemes being implemented by Jan Shikshan Sansthan for skill development of adolescent girls and women. He said that Jan Shikshan Sansthan Solan provides courses like assistant dress maker, tailor, beauty care assistant etc. free of cost. He said that interested candidates can contact Jan Shikshan Sansthan Solan.
District Mission Coordinator Solan Renu Sharma provided detailed information to the women present on the occasion about Domestic Violence Act, Dowry Prohibition Act, Sexual Harassment (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and other women-centric laws.
On this occasion, Program Coordinator of Jan Shikshan Sansthan Solan, Deepika Sharma also provided detailed information to the women present about the schemes being implemented under Jan Shikshan Sansthan.
About 60 participants including One Stop Centre Manager Neelam Mehta participated in the awareness camp.
