Emphasising the need to preserve Himachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and promote local talent, Baldev Thakur, Chairman of Kailash District Cooperative Marketing and Consumer Federation attended the 22nd Himachal Utsav organised by Dynamic India Yuva Mandal, Solan, and sponsored by Goyal Motors. Deepak Rathore of the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority was also present on the occasion.

The grand cultural festival celebrated the state’s vibrant traditions, folk art and cultural diversity, bringing Himachal’s rich artistic legacy into the spotlight. The event provided a platform for showcasing local talent while strengthening awareness of the region’s distinctive cultural identity.

Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Thakur said that preserving Himachal Pradesh’s cultural heritage is a collective responsibility and that festivals like Himachal Utsav play a vital role in keeping age-old traditions alive. He emphasised that the state’s identity extends beyond its scenic landscapes to include its folk music, traditional dances, indigenous art forms and customs.

He further noted that such initiatives encourage young people to remain connected to their cultural roots while providing local artists with opportunities to showcase their abilities and receive wider recognition. He stressed that continued support for cultural events is essential to ensure that Himachal’s traditions are passed on to future generations.
Thakur also appreciated Dynamic India Yuva Mandal for organising the 22nd edition of Himachal Utsav and acknowledged the contribution of Goyal Motors and all those associated with the event. He said that sustained efforts to promote regional culture can strengthen community participation, encourage emerging talent and enhance Himachal Pradesh’s cultural presence on a broader platform.
He expressed hope that Himachal Utsav would continue to serve as an important platform for cultural preservation, artistic expression and the promotion of the state’s rich heritage.
