Nature’s fury continues in Himachal Pradesh. While rivers and streams are in spate due to heavy rains, incidents of cloudbursts and glacier falls are also being reported in the high-altitude areas of the state. According to the information, the cloudburst incident has taken place in Luai Panchayat of Chhota Bhangal of Sub-Division Baijnath, which comes under Kangra district. Due to this natural disaster, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the area. After the cloudburst, a huge amount of water and debris suddenly started flowing from the mountains to the lower areas, due to which the water level of the stream increased considerably. Its impact was so severe that the debris also entered people’s homes and hospital premises. At the same time, 4 vehicles have also been damaged due to the debris. The administrative team engaged in relief work has visited the affected area and taken stock of the situation.
On the other hand, incidents of glaciers falling have been reported in Palani Nala of Badgran Panchayat of Bharmour, Manda Nala of Tunda Panchayat, and Yangpa and Jangi Nala of Kinnaur district. Due to this, movement on these routes has come to a halt, due to which local people and travelers are facing problems. Due to the falling of an iceberg in Jangi Nala, the movement of vehicles on NH-5 has come to a complete halt.
Due to heavy rains in Dharamshala, the water level of Manuni Khad suddenly increased. Due to its effect, 3 tippers and a JCB got stuck in the water in the Khaniyara area. Due to continuous rain, the water level of ravines and drains around Dharamshala has also reached dangerous levels. Drains are overflowing in many places, which has increased the concern of the local people. On the other hand, the administration has appealed to the people to be cautious in view of the situation. Especially, people living near rivers and drains have been advised to go to safe places.
A Pokelin machine got stuck due to a flood in Manjhi Khad. Construction work on a bridge for IT Park is going on in Manjhi Khad near Gaggal. Pits have been dug on both sides of the Khad for the construction of pillars of the bridge. This machine was working in this Khad for this work. Due to a sudden heavy flood in Manjhi Khad, this machine got stuck in the flood.
