The Government of Himachal Pradesh was successfully implementing various welfare schemes run by the Centre and the state for development of Himachal, ensuring the benefit of the schemes reaches till the last person standing in the queue. For overall development of the state, it is necessary that every section of the society, including workers, youth, farmers, women and others, gets benefits from the schemes. This was stated by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla today while presiding over a program organized under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana’ in collaboration with the District Administration and Nagar Parishad Parwanoo at Parwanoo in Solan district.
The Governor interacted with the beneficiaries of the PM Svanidhi Yojna and directed the implementing agencies to ensure that the welfare oriented schemes were being widely publicized and properly implemented so as to benefit the eligible.
Shri Shukla urged the beneficiaries of government-run schemes to inspire others as well to avail benefits of the welfare schemes. There must be many in Parwanoo areas also who were benefitted of the welfare schemes, said he.
The Governor also visited the exhibition installed by various departments and non-government organizations on welfare schemes and evinced keen interest in them.
Chairperson, Nagar Parishad, Parwanoo, Munisha Sharma, welcomed the Governor on the occasion and detailed about the schemes.
Deputy Commissioner, Manmohan Sharma welcomed and honoured the Governor on the occasion and proposed a vote of thanks.
Assistant General Manager, Lead Bank Parwanoo, Anchal and Medical Officer Shri Nishant also detailed the Governor about the various centrally-sponsored schemes and role of the lead bank to assist the beneficiaries.
A cultural programme and a skit based on the theme ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ was also performed by the artists of Women and Child Development department. The cultural programme on cleanliness was also performed by the artists of S.N.S. Foundation.
Secretary to Governor Rajesh Sharma, Vice-President, Nagar Parishad Parwanoo Lakhvinder Singh, councilors, and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
