Participated in Dussehra fair of Batal
Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health and Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations Department) Sanjay Awasthi said that fairs and festivals play an important role in preserving our ancient traditions. Sanjay Awasthi was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Dussehra fair at Gram Panchayat Batal of Arki assembly constituency of Solan district last evening.
Sanjay Awasthi said that fairs and festivals are indicators of our rich culture and ancient traditions. While fairs play an important role in preserving our culture, they also become a medium to introduce the young generation to our traditions.
The Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that the society which is educated develops. To fulfill the objective of higher and quality education, M.A. History and English classes have been started in Government College, Arki. He said that to raise the level of education, Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School is being opened in Jalana of Arki Assembly constituency. An amount of approximately Rs 20 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of the school.
He said that the government is making every possible effort to provide employment to the educated youth of Arki assembly constituency. He said that with the aim of promoting the tourism sector and creating self-employment opportunities, a plan of about Rs 200 crore has been put on priority by the MLA to build a ropeway from Swav village to Baridhar.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary said that various welfare projects will be started in future with the aim of making Arki assembly constituency an ideal assembly constituency.
Sanjay Awasthi said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Himachal Pradesh will be elevated as the leading economically prosperous state of the country.
He said that as soon as the provision of NOC is made for building the Gahar to Jakholi link road, funds will be made available for the construction work. He said that the sewerage plan for Batal Panchayat has been put on MLA priority and preparation of detailed project report has started.
He announced to give Rs 02 lakh to build Mokshadham in Gram Panchayat Batal. He announced a donation of Rs 1 lakh for the expansion of the stage.
He announced to give Rs 21 thousand from his voluntary fund to the local organizing committee.
