FIR Registered Against IG Vimal Gupta’s Wife, Minor Son and 10–15 Security Personnel
Pinjore (Haryana), March 1, 2026
An FIR has been registered at Pinjore Police Station against the wife and minor son of Himachal Pradesh IG Vimal Gupta, along with 10 to 15 security personnel, on charges of assault and criminal intimidation.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly assaulted the complainant during a dispute and issued threats. Taking the matter seriously, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and initiated an investigation.
Police officials stated that statements of all parties are being recorded and evidence, including CCTV footage, is being collected. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
So far, no official statement has been issued by IG Vimal Gupta or his family regarding the incident.
Pinjore Police have stated that no one is above the law and a fair and impartial investigation will be ensured.
