Government helicopter has become a ‘Congress taxi’, crossing all limits: Rajendra Rana

Instead of vote theft in Delhi, Congress leaders should raise slogans of treasury theft in Himachal.

Hamirpur, October 09, 2026:

Senior state BJP spokesperson and former MLA Rajendra Rana launched a direct attack on the Congress government, stating that those who looted Himachal’s treasury are falsely claiming vote theft in Delhi. Questioning Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s visit to Delhi on October 8th, Rana said that the Chief Minister, without releasing an official tour program, traveled to Delhi to participate in a Congress political movement in a government helicopter run by taxpayer funds. Using a government helicopter as a party taxi is nothing but treasury theft. Vote theft is merely a pretext to distract the public from the issue of treasury theft. However, the people of the state are wise. They know that they need people who bring development from Delhi, not those who fill the pockets of their masters. In a press release, he demanded that the Chief Minister disclose whose money was used to pay for the chopper’s fuel and water bill. Under what head will the bill for the chopper’s Delhi trip be paid? And under what rules was permission obtained? Rana stated that treasury looting is not new under this government and has occurred many times. A few months ago, a former CPS officer, a minister’s son, and a former MLA from his own party alleged that five attaché cases—three in Delhi and two in Himachal—were being delivered. The Chief Minister offered no explanation, filed no FIR, and merely tried to cover up the matter by expelling the leader from the party. This silence itself is proof of the entire loot.

He questioned that when BJP leaders make allegations against the government, an FIR is lodged against them directly, but when leaders of his own party make allegations about 5 briefcases, no legal action is taken against them, which deepens the suspicion even more. He said that the double character of the Chief Minister has come to the fore – when he goes to Delhi, he flatters his masters, stands in their presence, and upon returning to Himachal, he misleads the public by falsely claiming that the Central Government will not provide any help. There is also a discussion among the people that has he made some arrangements for the false and misleading movement going on in Delhi against the country? Congress should clarify on this.

Rana said that the state is drowning in debt, there is no budget to pay employees, yet he has given free rein to his friends to loot. Friends have been given license to loot in government departments. This is not a government, but a treasury-plundering gang. Therefore, Congress should return from Delhi to Himachal and raise slogans against its own government, calling it a treasury thief.
