Shimla, BJP state spokesperson Sandipani Bhardwaj said that the government’s media advisor should resign from his position and become the party’s chief spokesperson. Whenever the BJP presents facts about disaster relief funds to the public, the media advisor becomes upset.
He said, “We want to state clearly that Congress party leaders can lie as much as they want, but a lie will never become the truth. It is true that the central government sent ₹5,323 crore to Himachal Pradesh. If the Congress government has the guts, it should produce a white paper. It is also true that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dharamshala and met with disaster victims, and then announced ₹1,500 crore for Himachal Pradesh, which is a huge relief for the people. But the state’s Chief Minister doesn’t even have enough time to visit the disaster relief areas.”
He stated that the wounds of the disaster in Himachal Pradesh will now be healed with an amount of ₹2,687 crore. The central government will undertake this recovery and reconstruction work for Himachal under a new World Bank project. The World Bank will fund this project, with a total cost of ₹2,687 crore. The state government will also contribute 20 percent of this amount. Yet, the government’s media advisors refuse to thank the central government for this, perhaps because Congress party leaders don’t understand the difference between rightful money and relief money.
