Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Janamashtami.
Shukla said that Janamashtami was a sacred occasion for Hindus celebrated with great fervour throughout the country. He said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Krishna were more relevant in the present context and we all should follow them to lead a successful life.
Extending greetings and good wishes to the people of the State on this occasion, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the philosophy of Lord Krishna enshrined in Bhagwad Geeta had attracted the attention of entire world which was the beautiful revelation of life wisdom and this philosophy had been guiding the humanity. He said that the Geeta was virtually the quintessence of Hindu scriptures and religious philosophy.
