Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation celebrated 78th Independence Day in a dignified manner at the Corporate Office. On this occasion, Mr. Surender Kumar, Director Civil, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited hoisted the flag and wished all the officers and employees of the corporation.
In his address, he called upon all the officers and employees to work with full dedication so that the corporation’s participation in the state’s economy can be ensured by harnessing electricity . Shri Surendra Kumar said that proper maintenance should be done in all the implemented projects of the corporation. So that they can produce electricity to their full potential and contribute more to the economy of the state.
He said that work is in progress in the under construction projects of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation, 450 MW Shongtong Kadcham Hydroelectric Project and 48 MW Chanju Hydroelectric Project and we will complete these projects within the stipulated time period. The corporation is working towards harnessing solar energy. is also operational. The corporation has implemented the 32 MW Pekhubela Solar Power Project in Una district, which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu ji on June 20, 2024.
He said that in the present scenario, many hurdles are being faced in the execution of projects in hydropower development implementation. Work needs to be done in the direction of simplifying issues like land acquisition, security measures, law and order and technical challenges for hydropower construction. are required.
