In celebration of its Golden Jubilee Year, the Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (HP SPCB) is proud to announce the launch of its Golden Jubilee Enviro-Quiz Competition, an inter-school quiz initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness among students of the state. The competition will be held from 22nd April 2025 (World Earth Day) to 5th June 2025 (World Environment Day). The Enviro-Quiz is a part of the Board’s Golden Jubilee celebrations and is designed to engage young minds on critical topics such as environmental science, pollution control, sustainability, and the ecological richness of Himachal Pradesh.
Key Highlights of the Competition:
- Eligibility:
Open to students from Classes 9 to 12 from both Government and Private Schools across Himachal Pradesh. - Registration:
Free and mandatory. Schools and participants must register via the official website https://hppcb.quize.in/user/register from 22nd April (11:00 AM) to 4th May 2025 (5:00 PM). - Quiz Format:
- 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Duration: 30 minutes
- No negative marking
- Questions will cover environmental science, laws, sustainability, pollution control, and +state-specific ecological knowledge.
- Scoring System:
- Accuracy and speed will both determine scores.
- Ties will be resolved based on time taken.
- Rounds:
- First Round (Online): Scheduled on 9th May 2025 (11:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
- Results Declaration: 20th May 2025 (World Bee Day).
- Final Round (Offline): To be held in Shimla during first week of June 2025, with a minimum of one selected team per district.
- General Rules:
- One entry per school.
- Strict prohibition of unfair means during the quiz.
- Final decisions rest with the Member Secretary, HP SPCB.
- Awards and Recognition:
- Winners will receive trophies, certificates, and exciting prizes.
- All participants will be awarded e-certificates of participation.
