Congress leaders defending National Herald scam across the country is shameful
Mandi
In a statement issued from Mandi, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that it is extremely shameful for Congress leaders not to call the scam in National Herald corruption. Congress leaders going around the country and defending them shows the mindset of Congress that they consider the country’s property to be the property of Gandhi family. Congress considers it its right to commit corruption with the country’s property. But now that era has passed when Congress can commit corruption as it wants and no finger is raised against it. The action of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against National Herald is being done on the instructions of the court. Despite all the efforts made by the big lawyers of Congress, Congress has not gotten any relief from any court. It is clear that there has been a scam in this entire episode. It is the responsibility of the country’s investigating agencies to bring the scamsters under the purview of law.
Jairam Thakur said that the way Congress leaders left all their work and tried to put pressure on ED offices by laying siege to them across the country. Even after this they did not get any benefit, so now Congress leaders are roaming around the country and supporting the corruption in the National Herald case. This shows the basic nature of Congress. As long as they were in power, the Congress government committed scams worth lakhs and crores. A political party giving a loan of Rs. 90 crore to a company that has 5000 shareholders and immovable property worth Rs. 2000 crore, forming a new company, buying property worth Rs. 2000 crore for Rs. 50 lakh and waiving off the loan by the political party—is this not corruption? Do Congress leaders consider such illegal acts justified? Is it right to give all the shares of a company to one person without the consent of thousands of shareholders? The Congress party’s definition of corruption may be different but now the act prescribed by the law in the country will be considered corruption and action will also be taken against it.
The Leader of Opposition said that during the 10-year tenure of UPA, only scams were discussed in the whole world. During the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the development of the country is being discussed. During the tenure of Narendra Modi, a record is being made of the facilities being provided to the common people in the country. More than 4 crore houses, more than 12 crore toilets, and more than 80 crore people are getting free rations every month. The number of seats in airports, AIIMS, IITs, IIMs, Triple IT Medical Colleges, and medical colleges in the country is doubling.
Use of force on Divyangjans is wrong
Jairam Thakur said that the use of force by the police on the Divyangjans protesting near Shimla Secretariat is wrong. The government should seriously consider their demands. Friends should establish a dialogue with them, this repeated use of force on them is wrong.
