HP IGMC and all government hospitals will shutdown routine OPDs, Elective Operation Theatres, routine CT scans and MRI scans tomorrow as the doctors will join protest on 17 August 2024.

association (SAMDCOT) strongly condemns the most unfortunate incident that happened at RG KAR medical college Kolkata and is deeply concerned about security and safety of Doctors and Health care workers in state as well as at National level.
The Himachal Pradesh Medicare Service persons and Medicare
service institutions (Prevention of violence and damage to property) Amendment Act, 2017, regarding the violation of rights of healthcare workers must be notified and implemented without any delay.
SAMDCOT fully supports the cause of
concern of the resident doctors and their demands must be accepted by the
concerned authorities.
SAMDCOT request the general public to support in this serious cause so that the health care workers may work without fear and serve better to the public at large. They also requested the general public to not to visit IGMC and associated hospitals on 17/th August, 2024, unless urgency is there.
However, the care of patients in Emergency /ICU/CCU/PICU/Labour room and already admitted patients in various wards will not be affected and will run as per schedule.
