A block-level HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccination campaign against cervical cancer was formally launched on Saturday in Bharmour.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Janak Raj said the launch of the vaccination drive marks an important step for the region. He emphasized that cervical cancer, caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), can largely be prevented through timely immunization.
“This vaccine is a protective shield for the safe future of our daughters and mothers. I urge all parents to ensure that their daughters receive the HPV vaccine without hesitation,” he said.
Highlighting the broader impact of the initiative, he added that a healthy woman is the foundation of a strong and empowered society. He termed the campaign a significant move toward strengthening women’s healthcare at the grassroots level.
Janak Raj also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda for their continued support in expanding preventive healthcare initiatives across the country.
