In the new year, consumers will get urad or mash dal 5 rupees cheaper in cheap ration depots. The state government has approved the new rate of urad dal. Urad dal will be given to consumers coming under NFSA at the rate of Rs 58 per kg in the depots. Earlier, urad dal given to people of this category was given at Rs 63 per kg. Similarly, the rate of urad for APL families has been fixed at Rs 68 per kg. Earlier, these families were being given urad dal at the rate of Rs 73 per kg in the depots.
Taxpayers will have to spend more than before to buy urad dal. Income taxpayers will now get urad dal at the rate of Rs 93 per kg in the depots. Earlier, this price was Rs 83 per kg. Compared to the markets, the government will make this dal available at a much lower price in the depots. Currently, urad dal is being sold at the rate of 115 to 120 rupees per kg in the market. In such a situation, consumers will get some relief from inflation due to the availability of cheap pulses in the depots.
With the approval of the rate of urad by the government, the Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation has issued a supply order of 38 thousand quintals of urad. In the new year, this dal will be available to consumers at a lower price in the depots.
Managing Director of State Supply Corporation Rajeshwar Goyal said that in the cheap ration depots, consumers will be given urad, i.e., mash dal, 5 rupees cheaper. A supply order has already been issued for this. After this, the supply of pulses has also started reaching the wholesale warehouse.
