MLA Bharmour Dr.Janak Raj has launched a strong attack on the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government, alleging that the shifting of the gynecology OPD from KNH to IGMC in the name of robotic surgery has “worsened, not improved” healthcare services.
He claimed that despite spending around ₹30 crore on the robotic system, not a single gynecological surgery has been performed so far, calling it a “wasteful and questionable decision.”
The MLA said women patients are being forced to run between two hospitals, terming the move “administrative failure and insensitivity.” He also questioned whether doctors were consulted or the decision was taken “behind closed doors.”
MLA Bharmour Dr. Janak Raj demanded an immediate rollback, warning that the issue reflects “serious mismanagement” by the state government.
