Youths who have been waiting for government recruitments for two years are hopeful of new employment in the new year. The results of most of the examinations that were under investigation due to the paper leak case have been declared. Only five examinations are left, for which a decision is yet to be taken at the government level.
Now, new recruitment examinations are expected to start soon through the single window system. At the same time, the recruitment process for 1,423 posts under 80 post codes is also expected to move forward in the new year. This will be a big relief for thousands of youth of the state who have been waiting for recruitments for two years. The state government is also preparing to give at least two years of relaxation in the maximum age limit to the eligible candidates for the advertised recruitments during the period of the Staff Selection Commission, which was dissolved last year. In this regard, the State Selection Commission has sent a proposal to the state government. It is expected that a decision will be taken on this in the new year. A total of 1,423 posts will be recruited in various departments of the state in 80 post codes.
This includes various posts, including JBT, JOA, and IT. The maximum number of posts of about 400 will be filled for JBT. With the start of the recruitment process, the wait of the youth for employment will end. On the other hand, Vikram Mahajan, Secretary of the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, said that the recruitment processes that started earlier have almost been completed. The recruitment process for 80 postcodes will be started as soon as instructions are received from the government.
The agency will be finalized soon for the computer-based test.
The agency for the computer-based test, i.e., CBT, is expected to be finalized soon. The pilot recruitment commission had done it through the EdCIL agency to fill the posts with OTA, but now the state government is looking for another agency so that more budget is not spent in organizing the examinations. More than 35 lakh rupees were paid to the EdCIL agency in lieu of organizing the first recruitment. A long time was taken by the government for this payment. Now a permanent arrangement is expected in the new year.
