An interactive and skill-based thematic workshop “UDAAN-Prevention of substance Use” was organized at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) auditorium, Waknaghat, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on 07th August 2024 by Vyaktitva Foundation in collaboration with Education Department of Himachal Pradesh. The Foundation was founded by Arunima Sharma, who is also a JUIT alumnus of Batch 2006-2010. The workshop focused on the impact of drug abuse having a severe impact on the youth of the country and highlighted the possible reasons that lead to drug addiction in individuals and its consequences. The workshop emphasized strengthening the factors that could lead to the prevention of drug abuse. Mr. Kulpreet Saini and Major Vikas Kadsholi were the speakers for the session. The event was coordinated by the Anti-Drug Committee of JUIT under the guidance of Prof. Vineet Kumar Sharma from the Department of Physics and Materials Science, JUIT. Vice Chancellor of JUIT Prof R.K. Sharma felicitated the speakers. BTech Students of all the streams participated in this session. This is to inform you that JUIT is organizing such activities regularly to enhance the student’s skills in various domains to tackle real life situations with an affluence.
