Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), Tallahassee, USA, have entered into a partnership to promote collaborative research and academic engagement. A key area of cooperation under this initiative will be student exchange for research activities. The MoU framework evolved from academic discussions held during the visit of Prof. Ashvani Chauhan of FAMU to JUIT.
Prof. Chauhan leads the µBiomics Laboratory (MicroBiomics) in the School of the Environment at FAMU. The collaboration reflects the institutional support extended by the CEO of JUIT, Shri Manu Bhaskar Gaur. The MoU was formally executed by Dr. Allyson L. Watson, Vice President for Academic Affairs of FAMU, and Prof. R. K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of JUIT. Both universities offer academic programs in areas of shared interest.
