Bag Free Day was celebrated with enthusiasm on Saturday at Lakshya Convent School Manjayat (Arki) under Arki subdivision. On this occasion, elections for Head Boy and Head Girl were held in the school, in which Kavya Shukla was elected Head Boy and Dhriti was elected Head Girl. Along with this, selection was also made for the posts of Discipline In-charge, Cleanliness In-charge, House Captain and Vice House Captain. All the selected students were honoured by wearing sash and badge.
During the programme, oath taking ceremony was also organised in the school, in which all the newly elected office bearers took oath to discharge their duties with sincerity. Chairman Dr. Prem Lal Gupta, Dr. Kusum Gupta and all the teaching staff were present in this ceremony.
Under Bag Free Day, English and Hindi calligraphy competitions were also organised among the students. The winners who performed excellently in the competition were honoured with prizes. The day concluded with a grand parade march taken out in the school ground, in which the students displayed a great display of discipline and team spirit.
