On the occasion of World Health Day, a special program was organized at Lakshya Shikshan Sansthan (which includes Lakshya Convent School) of Arki area with the aim of spreading awareness about health and nutrition. On this occasion, Dr. Shivangi, ICDS Department Supervisor Rahul, Asha workers Rama Devi and Kavita visited the institute and interacted with the students.
Under the program, important topics like malnutrition, anemia and menstrual hygiene were openly discussed with B.Ed trainees and school students under the “Woh Din” scheme. Dr. Shivangi explained to the girl students in simple language the importance of removing misconceptions related to menstruation, maintaining hygiene and balanced diet.
The teachers of the institute were also present on this occasion and appreciated this initiative. They said that such programs inspire students to become health conscious and responsible citizens.
