Five gold, two silver and one bronze in boxing; basketball team wins bronze, Yash Panwar selected for state-level championship
Arki, September 15: Players from Lakshya Public School delivered an impressive performance at the District Major Games Tournament-2026, winning multiple medals in boxing and basketball.
The district-level tournament was held from September 10 to 12 at Government Senior Secondary School, Barotiwala, where the school’s players showcased their talent and competitive spirit.
In boxing, the school won five gold, two silver and one bronze medal. Ansh Thakur won gold in the 42-kg category, while Divesh secured gold in the 36-kg category. Devansh won gold in the 42-kg category, Varun in the 44-kg category and Harshit in the 50-kg category.
Aryan won a silver medal in the 34-kg category, while Ojas secured silver in the 46-kg category. Rajveer won the bronze medal in the 40-kg category.
The school’s basketball team also put up a strong performance, securing a bronze medal. The players displayed excellent coordination, discipline and team spirit throughout the tournament.
Adding to the school’s achievements, Yash Panwar was selected for the state-level championship, which will be held in Mandi. His selection has brought cheer to the school community.
The school management congratulated all the medal winners and their coaches, attributing the success to the students’ hard work, guidance from their coaches and the continued support of parents and the school management.
The management also wished the players success in their future competitions and said the school remains committed to nurturing students’ talent not only academically but also in sports and other extracurricular activities.
The players’ achievement has brought pride to Lakshya Public School and the Arki region.
