Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today asked the students to take benefit of the government schemes and projects and become entrepreneurs.
Speaking at seventh convocation at Shoolini University the chief minister also talked about the several government initiatives, including the Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School, education loans at 1 pc interest up to 20 lakhs, and full fee waivers for under privileged children. The encouraged the students to take these opportunities for personal and state development, and support startups. The Chief Minister also talked about the subsidy to promote electric vehicles, and invest in green hydrogen projects. Flower culture will also be encouraged. He encouraged students to explore these opportunities for personal and state development and don’t look for jobs. Chief Minister predicted that Himachal would become the richest state in 10 years.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu praised the achievements of Himachal’s students and emphasized the importance of good governance in ensuring the well-being of the state’s residents.
Shoolini University, renowned for its excellence in the fields of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, celebrated its 7th Convocation on the university campus with great enthusiasm. The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, was the Chief Guest. Col Dhani Ram Shandil, Health Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government, was the Guest of Honour.
Guest of Honor Col Dhani Ram Shandil talked about the role of education as an instrument of prosperity and urged students to remember their teachers and parents throughout their lives.
Dr. Rajan Welukar, Vice Chancellor, ATLAS SkillTech University, asked everyone to clap for their mentors, appreciate their parents, creator of University and be grateful for the success.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Chairman of ASRB, said that Himachal is a health hub and can become the flower nation. He insisted on the need for hubs for processing and storage. He also shed light on floriculture, study of growing and marketing flowers and foliage plants, as it requires more focus as it holds a lot of potential.
Lt. Gen. JS Negi, PVSM, AVAM, YSM, CSM (Retd), said there is a focus needed on the environment and discipline. He said that the growth of a university also depends on the dedication of the faculty.
A total of 2200 degrees were conferred to students across various programs, including 53 Ph.D. Degree Holders and 60 Gold Medalists. The Shoolini University trustees, Mrs.Saroj Khosla, Mr.Satish Anand, Mr.Ashok Anand, Mr.Gagan Anand, Mr.Ashish Khosla, Mrs. Ashoo Khosla, Mrs. Nishtha Shukla Anand, and Mrs. Avnee Khosla, were also in attendance to mark this momentous occasion.
On the occasion Chancellor Prof PK Khosla said, Research is important for higher education and Shoolini University is committed to produce topper and we are doing it successfully.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla said, research is the primary area of focus for the university to achieve expertise and is Shoolini No.1 citations research University, both in private and public.
Registrar Shoolini, Prof. Sunil Puri, welcomed the Vice Chancellor, and addressed the dignitaries.
