A bomb threat has been given to the Mandi Deputy Commissioner’s Office (DC Office Mandi) of Himachal Pradesh. This threat was sent via email, after which the administration evacuated the entire building as a precaution.
As soon as the information about the bomb threat in the email was received by the concerned officials, the security agencies and the police administration became alert. The Bomb Disposal Squad has been called on the spot and the entire premises were sealed and a search operation was conducted.
The district administration and the police department are taking this threat seriously and have also started a cyber investigation into the matter! So that it can be ascertained who is the one giving the threat and what is his motive.
At present, the administration has appealed to the general public to maintain peace and avoid any rumours. Security has been tightened in the DC office and its surrounding areas and every activity is being monitored. There is a discussion that this could also be a part of a mock drill.
