Shimla, January 19:
A three-day entrepreneurship training programme organized under the Start-Up Rural Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP) for women of the Cluster Level Federation (CLF) concluded on Monday at the Block Development Officer’s office in Mashobra. A total of 15 women from three CLFs of Mashobra block participated in the training.
The programme was conducted with support from Amit Singh, Resource Person from the Indian Entrepreneurship Development Institute (IEDI), Ahmedabad, who guided the participants on entrepreneurship promotion and business development.
The closing ceremony was presided over by Block Development Officer Mashobra, Ankit Kotiya, who said the programme is designed to encourage entrepreneurship in rural areas and empower poor rural women by linking them with self-employment opportunities. He added that under SVEP, there are plans to set up Block Resource Centres (BRCs) at the block level to further support women entrepreneurs.
Kotiya explained that the programme also provides entrepreneurs with financial assistance, training, and required resources, helping them grow their ventures and strengthen their economic stability. He urged BRC members to take maximum advantage of the scheme and promote entrepreneurship in their respective areas.
The programme was coordinated by Lalita Kumari, Women Social Education Organizer, who said CLF women will now work at the grassroots level to implement the learning practically. She added that women entrepreneurs facing business slowdown will receive financial support under the programme, enabling them to become economically and socially empowered.
Women Village Development Coordinators Savita Negi and Rita Kumari, along with Vaishali Thakur, Praveen Kumari, Dinesh Tekta, and other staff members were also present during the programme.
