District Administration has issued a new traffic notification in view of the ongoing Winter Carnival, effective until January 4, 2025. According to District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap, the movement of pick-up trucks and tippers will be restricted during peak hours—8 AM to 11 AM and 4 PM to 7 PM. The restrictions will apply on routes from Tutikandi Bifurcation to Victory Tunnel, Lift to Talland, and Victory Tunnel to Sanjauli Chowk via Lakkar Bazar Cemetery.
The SP has been directed to enforce the orders, aimed at ensuring smooth traffic for locals and tourists amid the increased footfall due to snowfall and New Year celebrations.
