National Informatics Centre (NIC) Solan organised a one day workshop on Safer Internet Day here today.
District Informatics Officer, Solan said that the purpose of celebrating Safe Internet Day is to make people aware about internet safety. He said that Safe Internet Day is celebrated every year on February 11.
He said that all kinds of information can be obtained through the internet. The internet has made our lives easier, but at the same time it has also made us aware of the dangers of cyber crimes.
In the workshop, a presentation was also given by National Informatics Centre, Solan through Power Point on safe use of Internet.
On this occasion, officials of various departments including District Informatics Office participated.
