On the occasion of Anti-Terrorism Day, the Shimla District Administration organized an anti-terrorism oath-taking ceremony at the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises today. Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap administered the oath to officers and employees to work unitedly against terrorism and violence. Officers and employees from various departments of the district administration were present at the event.
It is noteworthy that the martyrdom day of Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi is celebrated as Anti Terrorism Day.
Addressing everyone, the Deputy Commissioner stated that terrorism poses the greatest threat to humanity and that every individual in society needs to be vigilant and vigilant to combat it. He added that collective efforts are essential to maintain the nation’s unity, integrity, and peace.
He said that the purpose of celebrating Anti-Terrorism Day is to strengthen the spirit of peace, harmony, and brotherhood among people, so that there is no place for violence and extremism in society. He also called on youth to play a positive role in nation-building and maintain social harmony.
During the event, the officers and staff present reiterated their commitment to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence and to maintain peace and harmony for the unity and security of the nation. The program concluded with a pledge to uphold national interest and social harmony.
