On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, L.R. Institute of Pharmacy, Solan organized an awareness rally with the aim of increasing awareness about TB. Students and faculty members of the institute participated enthusiastically in this rally.
The rally was started by Dr. P.P. Sharma, Academic Director, L.R. Institute of Pharmacy. On this occasion, the Principal of the Institute, Dr. Avneet Gupta was also present, who encouraged the students and emphasized on increasing awareness about the prevention of tuberculosis.
The students not only participated in the rally, but also prepared various posters related to TB eradication, which gave important information related to the symptoms, prevention and treatment of TB. Through these posters, the local people were made aware about tuberculosis.
According to Shachi Singh (Director) and Dr. P.P. Sharma (Academic Director), the aim of the event was to spread the message of “TB Mukt Bharat” in the society and educate people about the seriousness of this disease. The students and teachers of the institute took a pledge that they will continue to contribute in this fight against tuberculosis.
