Shimla
The new executive committee of Congress in Himachal will be formed in the next 15 days. At the same time, Pratibha Singh will continue to hold the post of president. There was no discussion about removing the state president in the meeting. While addressing a press conference at the State Congress Headquarters Shimla on Saturday, the party’s state in-charge, Rajni Patil said that the principle of one person, one post will be applicable in the new executive. The leaders appointed in the government will not join the organization. The new executive will have office bearers from all sections. Rajni said that the party high command has entrusted her with the responsibility of forming the new executive.
Patil said that Congress is strong in the state. In the assembly elections to be held in the year 2027, Congress will again form the government. The practice of changing the government after five years in Himachal will end. I will work as a bridge to maintain better coordination between the government and the organization. He said that Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and former National President Sonia Gandhi are of the clear opinion that one person should be given only one post in the party. This also gives opportunity to other active workers. Rajni also hinted at early appointments in boards, corporations and women’s commission. Appointments will be made soon after discussing with the Chief Minister.
State in-charge Rajni said that there is a hue and cry in Delhi that the situation in Himachal has worsened. He said that I have discussed with all the leaders for two days. The work of the government is going on well. He said that the Center has deliberately created a situation of financial crisis in the state. Adequate money is not being released to the state. This is being done to defame Himachal.
