Bilaspur: President Droupadi Murmu’s schedule for her upcoming Himachal Pradesh visit has been revised, with her proposed visit to the Shri Naina Devi Temple in Bilaspur district cancelled.
As per the revised schedule, the President will travel directly to AIIMS Bilaspur by air on October 6. She is scheduled to land at the AIIMS campus at 10.35 am and attend the institute’s convocation ceremony as the chief guest at 10.45 am.
The convocation programme is expected to last around 50 minutes, following which the President will leave directly for Manali.
The President’s visit to Shri Naina Devi had earlier been included in her Himachal itinerary. However, the programme has now been changed for unspecified reasons.
The revised schedule comes ahead of the President’s visit to the state, with security and administrative arrangements being made in accordance with the updated itinerary.
