“There is something fishy” – politicising the Red Cross exposes Congress’s intentions
Shimla: BJP leader Sudhir Sharma has raised serious questions about the police action at Himachal Bhawan and Himachal Sadan in Delhi, demanding an impartial investigation. Responding on social media, he said it should be clear whether the representatives in question went to demand the Revenue Deficit Grant (RDG) or for some other purpose, as the events have raised many doubts.
Sudhir Sharma said that a few days ago, a delegation from the Himachal Pradesh Congress government, headed by the Chief Minister, went to Delhi to discuss the RDG issue with the Congress high command. Taking such action at this time raises many questions and suggests a “fishy situation.” He said that the people of the state want to know the truth, and a transparent investigation into the entire matter is necessary.
He alleged that the official social media handles of the Youth Congress were attempting to politicize the incident, suggesting that the Congress party was “adding fuel to the fire.” He said that making statements without facts has been a long-standing practice of the Congress party, creating a situation similar to “the thief scolding the police.”
The BJP leader said that transparency and accountability are essential in democracy, hence there should be an impartial investigation into this entire incident so that the truth can come out and public confidence can be maintained.
