The Belletristic literature society at Shoolini University organised a session on “Reading Croce’s Aesthetic Theory through a Classical Indian Framework.” Dr. Purnima Bali, Head of the Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts, introduced the session.
The speaker of the session was Mr. Sreejit Datta. Mr. Sreejit Datta initiated his presentation on “Reading Croce’s Aesthetic Theory through a Classical Indian Framework” by expressing his gratitude for the platform and the opportunity to share his ideas. He briefly discussed Benedetto Croce’s Aesthetic Theory and explored the possibility of a dialogical encounter between Croce’s aesthetics and classical Indian aesthetics in light of Atul Chandra Gupta’s writings.
Dr. Purnima Bali, Associate Professor, expressed her gratitude to the speaker and asked for a one-line definition of aesthetics. The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Neeraj Pizar, who also thanked the speaker, panellists, and participants for their valuable contributions in making the Belletristic Session a resounding success.
