Strict action is going on against drug smugglers under Police Operation Clean in Shimla district. Police caught 9 drug traffickers in different cases in one day. A gang has also been busted in this.
According to information received from the police, three people were arrested from Rohru area on Monday. Which includes Gopi Chand age 40, Robin Chanta age 35 and Mohit Tejata age 31. All three are residents of Rohru and Jubbal areas of Shimla. Police said that all three were members of a gang of two women recently arrested by the police from Khadapatthar. So far, 5 people have been arrested in this case.
The district police have arrested three people under Theog police station in the drug smuggling case. In which the police said that the police team was on patrol on Monday during which Himachal November HP 10, 1414 was a roadside park of Alto Balag Nala.In which three people were sitting who seemed suspicious to the police. When the police investigated the car, 10.23 grams of chitta was recovered from inside the car. After which the police have arrested all three people. Who have been identified as Ankush, Rishabh Rohru and Lucky Thakur, residents of Theog. The police have registered a case against all three under the NDPS Act and started investigation.
Apart from this, the police have also caught three people with a chit in one Sadar and two other police stations. Police have registered a case against everyone and are investigating.
SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi said that police have caught 9 smugglers in one day. The police have conducted Operation Clean against drugs in the entire district. Police action is going on under this. Police will not spare people involved in any illegal drug trade. He said that his aim is to make the district drug-free. For this, the police are working on a war footing.
