Solan, January 03: A fraud case has been registered at Sadar Solan police station in Himachal Pradesh on the complaint of Chandigarh resident Ashish Goyal. The complaint alleges that a plot in Saproon area was sold to Chiranji Lal Sadhu Ram in 1945, which was in his personal name. It was not related to any firm.
After his death in 1962, there was no division of the plot. Despite notice by Deputy Commissioner Solan, no heir appeared, so the plot vested in the Himachal government. However, in 1998, the Hon’ble High Court canceled this restoration.
It is alleged that Chiranji Lal’s son Mangat Ram got the plot registered in his name without verification. Then, along with family members, he sold it to Kamal Nath in 2003. In this fraud case, the police have registered a case under Sections 420 and 406 of the Indian Penal Code. Investigation of the case is ongoing. Efforts are being made to provide justice to other shareholders.
