The Deputy Commissioner issued necessary guidelines to all the departments in the meeting called on the preparations for the function
State level Republic Day Celebration-2025 will be celebrated with great enthusiasm at the historic Ridge Ground of Shimla. Presiding over a meeting called regarding the preparations for the state level Republic Day celebrations, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap said that for the success of this program, all the departments should work with mutual coordination and start preparations for the celebrations from now. He issued necessary guidelines to all the departments.
*27 teams will take part in the parade*The Deputy Commissioner said that about 27 contingents will participate in the state level Republic Day celebration parade which includes J&K Rifles, ITBP, SSB, men and women contingents of police, army pipe band, traffic police, police band, home guards, fire service, postal Service, Home Guard Band, Ex-Servicemen Band, NCC, NSS,Bharat Scouts and Guides, disaster management group and police dog team will be involved.He said that Additional District Magistrate and ASP will be the nodal officers for the parade. He said that the Republic Day parade should be impressive and there should be complete coordination among all the contingents participating in the parade as parade and march past are an important part of such celebrations. He said that from 22nd to 24th January, all the contingents will start rehearsal for the parade and full dress rehearsal will be held on 24th January.
*About 25 departments will display tableaux*
Anupam Kashyap said that this year tableaux of about 25 departments will be seen in the state level Republic Day celebrations. He said that 22 J&K Rifles, District Disaster Management Authority, Him Urja, State Electricity Board, Tourism Department, Agriculture Department, Women and Child Development Department, Animal Health Department, Industries Department, DRDA, Education Department, Municipal Corporation Shimla were present in the function. , Horticulture Department, State Forensic Services, Forest Department, Language Arts andTableaux of Culture Department, Food Supply Department, Transport Department and Health and Family Welfare Department will be included. The Deputy Commissioner said that the department should showcase its public welfare programs and policies innovatively through exhibitions. He said that the tableaux should be attractive and informative. He said that the general public comes to see the tableaux in the Republic Day celebrations, hence all the officers should take personal interest in this work so that the tableaux are displayed better.

Tableaux included children going on tour from district Shimla to other states under Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Yojana, Spell Valley of Rohru, loan to students at one percent interest, role of DNA mapping in Samaj tragedy, winter carnival, CA store, purchase of maize, Milk processing plants, pattal making and langar serving etcGlimpses will be seen.He said that all the departments will share the topic of their tableau with him and after approval, they will start the work of preparing the tableau.
*Tableaus will be placed for the people at selected places*
He said that this time the tableaux will be placed at selected places in the city on 26 and 27 January 2025 so that the general public can see the tableaux and get information about the government schemes.
*Cultural programs will be attractive and entertaining*
The Deputy Commissioner laid emphasis on showcasing the folk culture of the state and other states in the cultural programs and also gave instructions to bring diversity in the programs. He said that cultural programs should be entertaining and all cultural groups should prepare their programs better. He said that ADM will be the nodal officer for protocol cultural programs. He said that in case of bad weather, alternative arrangements will be made to organize cultural programs at the Gaiety Theatre.
Superintendent of Police Shimla Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that the parade is an important program in the state level Republic Day celebrations and its organization will be ensured in a better way. He said that this year there will be about 05 bands in the parade so that the band tune remains played uniformly throughout the parade and the march past can become more attractive.
